Project 2

The goal of Project2 was to build upon the previous Project 1. I reused many parameters and took them further with a plugin called Dynamo. Dynamo makes it is possible to establish more sophisticated sets of parameters to produce more complicated geometries. The façade elements in Project 1 were a more conceptual use of parametric techniques in Revit.  In project 2 I attempted to utilize the parameters more for functional efficiency by creating an aperture window opening mechanism. The façade elements are designed to open fully to the suns direct light during the day and absorb as much heat as possible. As the sun begins to set the aperture in turn begins to contract and insulate the windows.

Mistakes or problems encountered during the process of creating geometries and parameters led to new solutions and ideas.
